Rejuvenating
My days start very early these days. My little guy is teething and is up at 5:30 every morning...ugh! Needless to say, I'm exhausted by the end of the day and don't feel like doing much but channel surfing. Tonight was different though. We bought a handful of half wine barrels a couple of weeks ago and filled them this evening our mini vegetable garden. Afterwards I had more energy than I've had for a better part of the day and a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
I needed that.
I did I mention how much I hate teething...my little guy is just miserable!

Blah, blah, blah
In other words nothing exciting here. Realized I haven't posted in forever and I thought a little update was in order.
My sweet girl is sick yet again. Fever for most of the day and now the nose congestion is setting in. I'm praying little man doesn't get it. I spent a good part of the afternoon cleaning toys while the girl was resting on the couch on a VeggieTales marathon. Tomorrow I'll conquer the rest. I'm grateful for this nice weather though so I can open the winds and get the germies out.
Hubby graduates in less than 2 months. I can't believe it's finally the end; 4 1/2 years later. What a journey.
Off to bed...maybe I'll have something much more interesting to post later. :)

Syrup
I find it fascinating that I produce children who are challenged in the nap department. No lengthy naps in this family! ugh!
I made pancakes for breakfast yesterday and somehow managed to get a ton of syrup in my hair and since I had no time for a shower a baby wipe was used to get it out. I'm grateful for ponytails.
My poor little guy got put on constipation meds last week that have made him even gassier (what a brilliant thought...put a gassy baby on meds that will make him even gassier...anyhow) and as a result he has been waking up over and over through out the night very unhappy which makes for a very unhappy momma. I made an executive decision and have taken him off the meds and prunes seem to be helping (I had him on them before to no avail, but I'm so glad I tried again!).
The weather here has been so nice my daughter is sporting what she calls "naked legs" and "naked feet". Little man has discovered the joys of bouncing in his jump n go.
Time for another nursing...

Got Sleep?
Apparently I don't. My little 7 month old has decided he wants to wake up screaming and not go back to sleep for an hour no matter what I do. And of course my daughter now has a little cold is having a hard time sleeping. She was just up and getting out of bed from about midnight to 1 a.m. (at least that's when I fell asleep...hopefully she wasn't wandering the house). I hope this is just a phase because I have no idea what to do!

Little Mimic
I was washing the dishes tonight with "little guy" in his carseat on the counter and he was starting to fuss. Very reasonable since it was past the time I know he should be fed and put to bed. Anyhow, I'm talking to him, empathizing with the fact that I know it's past his time, yada, yada. I notice my sweet girl talking to her bun-bun repeating everything I'm saying to my little guy.
Wow.
Good reminder of Ephsians 4:29: "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
It can be so hard to live up to that when life is hard.
